Real name: Unknown (it's a flower's name, but we don't know more)
Age: I'd say around 13-14
Status: Human, traveler

Of course, the main character. Kino is has a complex personality: may be silent, indifferent and even cold, but is sensitive and caring (she just doesn't show it). She's tough and can kick ass easily: has a couple of "Persuader" pistols, called Cannon and Forrester, and has great aiming since she practices every morning.

And yeah, I used "she". Because although she wears that kind of clothes, and even acts like a guy, she's a GIRL. Just watch episode 4 and you'll see.

Why does she travel? How did she meet Hermes? The answers unfold themselves while the story passes by ^^

Status: Motorrad, Kino's sidekick

The talking motorcycle that Kino uses as way of transportation and friend, all in one XD Hermes has a rational mind, and meditates a lot about what they see in each country, no doubting in asking questions to local humans if he has to. He tries to understand them, in some way.

He also is sort of Kino's conscience. He gives her advice, since he worries about her safeness. Hermes saved Kino's life once, in her homeland! From that moment on, they were inseparable.
